Founded in the Summer of 2005:
Xtreme Mower Mayhem is part of an undocumented culture of the garage hobbiest.
For those who care to drive themselves to a higher level of education and fabrication, we are able to provide an outlet source for creativity, basic knowledge of small engine rebuild or custom mower design. For larger complex fabrication, many garage hobbiest engage themselves in monster mower or hot rod mower fabrication. Custom built mowers are used as a tool for fund raising and parades. Its value is being able to ignite people's imagination and allow them to take pride in themselves. You can teach your children how to work with their hands and complete a project with a job well-done. Monster Mowers: even though the concept of building one is a few years old, the wow factor, and the ability to build and drive such a mower is sparking a lot of interest. Driving these beasts provide the excitement and applause from spectators who witness the power of these machines, with each one showing its uniqueness and the skill level of its builder.
Discarded riding lawn mowers are low cost and plentiful, with the value of keeping junk mowers away from landfills, it is appealing to the conservationist in all of us. Many people do find the time to search in salvage yards, garage sales or even in thier own backyard for that one thing that will allow them to bond between father and son or with thier loved one. This builds character and ingenuity, which is immeasurable.
Many skills are learned while fabricating and rebuilding mowers: welding, gearing mathematics, engine rebuilding, geometry, weights and measures, painting, to name a few.
Kids and adults are amazed when they see them and then want to build one of these marvels of engineering themselves. Those that complete the tasks are thrilled and proud of their creation.
We get many questions on how to build a monster mower and to just to sit on one of these creations is exciting and the level of creativity is endless. They have been tested on cars, mud and water. Videos of the monster mowers in action are on the web.
