hey guys i have been looking at this whinch in my harbor freight magazine it is usly $99.99 but it is on sale for $69.99 it is camoflage 12 volt 3000 lb. with a wireless remote control and i was thing about welding a bumper on the front of my ridng mower and i was thinking abot this if it were to get wet would it hurt it because if i were to go in water deeper than the whinch was i want to know if it would still work

I wouldnt submerge it if it can be helped, unless the electrics were all in a sealed box - look at northerntools.com - i saw a winch for like $50  that was more then enough to pull a tractor around.

you can either get one off of someone that fixes mowers, use a starter from another mower and just change the brackets, or look around on the internet for a verticle shaft brigss twin starter
