go to a tractor junkyard and get tires for cheap like 30$, i got a starter from a guy that fixes mowers out of his garage for 40$, and a belt at napa is about 15$

In that case- if theyre similar tractors- id get one running first thats in the best shape and work on that first.

Ive actually gotten quite a few of my tractors free, thru coworkers, freinds and on freecycle ( you need to post something free to get something free tho) - look in the local flyer, craigslist - people are always having cheep stuff on there BUT y haveta look constantly- put an ad on craigslist for wanted stuff.

Before Christmas i saw an ad for a $25 MTD for parts- i went to get it - the guy also offered me  a parts craftsman and a parts motor for free. The motor on that MTD ran ( cept it needs a crank seal) so its going on another tractor, it had a recently rebuilt deck- that also went on another tractor - so im using whats left for a mild mod  to mess around with.

Id get one running/mowing , make it look and run good, sell it to buy the things you need- then you can get more to keep money comming in, turning around n selling em.
