i just got a oppesed twin motor 20 hp it worked for a day then i went to start it again but it wouldnt turn over with the starter but it will with my hand and when i take the plugs out . and i put a new starter in | |

Sounds like a bad battery connection to me. Have you tried jumping 12v straight to the starter? Could be a bad ignition switch or solenoid | |

Try taking it off and putting jump leads straight to the +ve post on the side, and the ground somewhere an bare metal on the starter. IF it doesnt turn over still, sounds like its bad? Which is odd. | |

Check the flywheel key, just in case- i bot a 'reconditioned' motor a while back - would crank with no plug in, but would snap the flywheel key when i tryed firing it up with the plug in- mine turned out to be a timing issue. | |

i worked on it today i put a new solenoid . but i was checking it with the meter but it had 12v going to the starter then as soon u turn the key it would kill the volts | |

amps? try hooking a car charger to battery.get alot of amps in thier, it will read 12v but not enough amps going to starter | |
