i have a little john deere mud toy that is set up exactly like a crafstman the transmission the whole thing but the name. im only lifting it a foot and a half mainly to keep it up when im playin in the crick. i already know how im doing the reaend part of the lift but i dont know how to do the steering part. it has the steering that has the main rod that goes to the big gear on the frame then has the two steering rods that go to each spindle how in the world do i get those to hook up to the axel after its been lifted a foot?

I would install a manual rack and pinion steering, or one from a golf cart. That would be your best bet. I tried with just extending the steering rods at all four points, doesn't work as well as it should.
